ACC sensitive claims
Supporting Kiritaki Recovery from Sexual Abuse and Assault
At The Psychology Group, we understand the complexity of recovery after experiencing sexual abuse or assault. Our Sensitive Claims Services, approved by ACC, offer tailored mental health support to help you on your journey to wellbeing. We provide a range of core and supporting services designed to meet your unique needs.
-
These services are provided while ACC determines your claim for mental injury due to sexual abuse or assault. You can access these services even before a decision is made about your claim:
Getting Started: Initial assessment and explanation of the Sensitive Claims process.
Early Supports: During these sessions, the provider helps you identify your needs and create an Early Support Plan.
Short-term Support to Wellbeing: You can access short-term care while deciding if further services are required.
-
Once ACC has accepted your claim, our team will continue to support you with personalised care plans:
Tailored Support to Wellbeing (Package A and B): Based on the assessment and your needs, your provider will guide you through either Wellbeing Package A or Package B support. This is over 24 months, including therapy, cultural support, and more. Your lead provider will let you know about the key differences between these two pathways and help with this process.
Wellbeing Plan: We’ll work with you to create a tailored recovery plan that addresses your mental and physical health needs.
Maintaining Wellbeing: Following treatment completion, we will help you plan to access ongoing services to manage your long-term recovery.
